A habit like this should begin at a very young age. How? By means of influence, from parents, teachers and everyone who has a bond with the child.

Reading can help in a lot of ways. Let’s read how:

Exposure:

Reading provides exposure. Exposure to a new world, exposure to this world. A scope for a better world can always be achieved via reading. Exposure paves way to explore new things, new options that could lead to new ideas, new career option etc.,

Improves understanding:

The more one reads, the better is their ability to understand. Understanding a subject better, makes it retain in the mind for a longer period of time. It helps understand the A-Z of all things.

Improves vocabulary:

When a child reads, his vocabulary also improves. The more the reading, the better the vocabulary, and one thing leads to the other and before you know, writing skills are also improved. That’s like ‘Kill two birds with one stone’.

Improves concentration:

This isn't a no-brainer. To read, children have to sit still and sit quietly in one place and focus on what they are reading. The more the focus, the better the concentration levels.

Boost Imagination:

Reading makes a child reach places, places they have never been before. Its boosts the imagination power making a child creative, in terms of reading, writing, presenting etc., Creativity is the call of the hour. Lack of reading leads to dearth of creativity.

The best part of reading is that it has infinite ways of benefiting the human body. Reading is a concept derived from mankind, for mankind, to mankind. If cultivated as an habit, can grow by leaps and bounds.
